3 October 2025 – We had the unique honour of attending, at the personal invitation of H.E. Peggy Frantzen, Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Poland,
a truly historic ceremony – the abdication and succession of the Luxembourgish throne.
On this day, at the Grand Ducal Palace in Luxembourg, a peaceful and solemn change of the throne took place.
His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri abdicated in favour of his son, Prince Guillaume, after nearly 25 years of reign. Consequently, His Royal Highness Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume was enthroned and is now officially His Royal Highness Grand Duke Guillaume.
To commemorate this momentous occasion, the Embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Warsaw hosted an exclusive reception for invited guests.
The event, which brought together representatives from diplomacy, business, and politics, was adorned with a live broadcast of the ceremony from Luxembourg, allowing all of us to witness it in a solemn and intimate atmosphere.
For the Poland-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, this was not only a distinction but also a symbol of the deep and friendly relations between Poland and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Our presence at this ceremony reinforces our belief in the strength of our partnership and shared future.
