Formal meeting of the Polish-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce

We are proud to announce that on December 5, 2023, CLIP Group S.A. in Swarzędz, where the headquarters of the Polish-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce is located, we had the honor of hosting distinguished diplomats and friends of our Chamber. The meeting was honored by the presence of His Excellency the Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Mr. Paul Schmit, and the Deputy Ambassador, the Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Mr. Michel Grethen. Moreover, the honorary guests of the meeting were consuls performing diplomatic missions in Poland and Latvia and representatives of member companies and companies interested in membership in our Chamber.

The participants listened to four substantive lectures. The first one was led by the President of the Polish-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Agnieszka Hipś. The presentation concerned the activities of CLIP Group, which is one of the largest and most modern logistics hubs in Central Europe, located at the intersection of two transport corridors: Baltic-Adriatic and North Sea – Baltic Corridor.

The Managing Director of the Polish Association of Capital Investors, Barbara Nowakowska, presented the latest news regarding the private equity and venture capital sector.

The next speech belonged to Mr. Jacek Pawłowski, Legal Advisor and Partner at PwC Legal, PwC Polska, who characterized and described the differences between Polish family foundations in the legal systems of Luxembourg, Liechtenstein and Poland.

The presentation given by Mr. Dominik Nowak from J. Safra Sarasin bank also successfully caught the attention of our guests. The speech concerned the key areas of activity of the J. Safra Group, a member of our Chamber.

The meeting ended with the presentation of the CLIP Intermodal Terminal, which is one of the largest investments of this type in Europe. Thanks to advanced technologies, excellent geographical location (located at the intersection of two TENT corridors, next to the main European railway line E20 – Paris – Beijing) and its own fleet, the terminal allows it to independently create new intermodal connections.

We are convinced that yesterday’s meeting was an important step towards strengthening economic and diplomatic ties between Poland and Luxembourg.
