PATRONAGE OF PLIG | VIII Polish Congress of Entrepreneurship

The Polish-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce has assumed institutional patronage over the 8th edition of the Polish Entrepreneurship Congress.

The Congress has a mobile character so as to open development perspectives for a different region of Poland every year. It has already been organized twice in Katowice, Łódź (2015), Lublin (2016), Zielona Góra (2017), Poznań (2018) and Olsztyn (2019).

In 2020. The Congress will be held in a hybrid formula on November 23-25 at the ICE Krakow Congress Centre.

Discussion panels with participation of recognized experts

The upcoming Congress will comprise nearly 20 discussion panels, which will address the most important topics related to economic and social development. During the discussion sessions the following issues will be raised: Polish entrepreneurs in the face of the global market, challenges of women in business, education and the labour market, CSR and its various faces, the perspective of local government development, innovation of the 21st century, science and commercialization of research, medicine, regional development, the housing market in Poland.

The following speakers will take part in the Congress: Jerzy Buzek, Member of the European Parliament, Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, who for a year has been the chairwoman of the “Climate-neutral and smart cities” mission at the European Commission, Edyta Demba-Siwek, President of the Polish Patent Office and Andrzej Malinowski, President of the Employers of Poland.

Safe Congress

What distinguishes this year’s edition from others is its hybrid formula – the whole event will be broadcast in cyberspace, which gives the opportunity to join the discussion to a wider group of people. To participate in the Congress, please register on the event website.

On the first day of the congress, study visits will be held. The participants will be able to visit the most important institutions in Cracow, among others the Eco Combustion Plant of the Cracow Municipal Holding. The solutions that have contributed to the enormous success of these activities can also be applied in other industries.

In the following days, parallel to the conferences and debates, there will also be an exhibition zone, where Polish entrepreneurs, scientists and local government officials will be able to promote their services, products and investments. The culmination of the Congress will be the Gala, during which the most dynamic Polish companies and institutions will be honoured with awards granted by the Polish Entrepreneurship Agency.
